Once applied, yes.

@Rich Keller correct, you have to wait for the costing engine to run. You can expose the "cost accounting status" on the item record to view the costing engines current status for a particular item. Or you can also run the "Inventory Valuation" report and expose the title to see if the costing engine is currently running
