I'm trying to produce a financial report that basically takes information from 2 different reports and combines them - it's mostly working, but I'm running into an issue that I don't know is solvable. I'm recreating an Excel file for these users where are calculating an end of year balance for accounts by using a formula that is Trial Balance Debit - Trial Balance Credit) + Balance Sheet Beginning of Year Balance. I created a comparative balance sheet (they need the previous end of year amount) and that mostly works, except for the fact that the ending balances for many accounts are shown as negative. If you were to calculate those balances using the formula they use above, those accounts ending balances are positive. I've tried to format it so many different ways in my comparative balance sheet and have gotten it to the point where the accounts show as positive but the total rows show as negative, which means it's counting those accounts as negative. Is there something I'm missing or is this just not possible in a balance sheet?

you have to check your total row signs too

Have you checked out Satori Reporting? @Josh_SatoriReporting is your man

That was it, thanks @KevinJ of Kansas. I didn't realize that I wanted to uncheck the reverse sign box under the Total Row Format. I had that one and the account row format reverse sign boxes checked. That fixed it. Thank you!
@darrenhillconsulting man I wish, but it has been made very clear that we aren't allowed to add anything to make reporting better. The higher ups feel that we were told NetSuite could do it all so it should be able to do it all. So no matter how much we've tried in the last 6 years, there's no changing their minds at this point. So I'm pretty much stuck with whatever we can do within NetSuite. But thank you! People keep recommending Satori reporting so I'm definitely going to check it out for future jobs!

I feel ya @Becca A!
