Hi everyone, we just recently created a new instance of Netsuite for our company and I've got some roles and the item field on their sales order forms doesn't auto-complete, it's just like a drop down - is this an easy setting I'm missing in the company settings for everyone? As admin it's working for me but not for them

If I'm understanding correctly, I believe this is related to the

Maximum Entries in Dropdowns

preference, and is user-specific. I think there's a way to set a default for new users created going forward but not a way to push the preference to existing users.

Thanks for the reply, I think the issue is something else though - it won't even let them type inside the field, it's just a dropdown for them whereas I can go into a sales order and start typing an item and they all pop up...

Are you using subsidiaries? My guess would be subsidiary is not set yet so the item list isn't populated yet.

Usually when you set the customer/vendor, the subsidiary is sourced, which also causes the sourcing of lists like location/item

If the customer list is also blank, then you need to find the subsidiary field (check the form customization, it might be hidden). You should be able to default this for roles which would eliminate this step, unless these employees are working across multiple subs

Got it, customer list/item lists aren't blank though is the only thing - we duplicated items into this system and will then remove it from parent company

It's on the General Preferences of your company, but the user has the ability to override.

Ok got it, will fix, but they still see a drop down, not an auto-complete field...very weird
