this field just shows on the mass build work order screen when it suggests how many to order

ah also in the re-order part if you are also purchasing them

Does it effect the quantity suggests to build? ie. If you have 0 of an item and the restock point is 30, does NetSuite suggest 50 (based off of oyour reorder multiple being 25)

yes if your preferred stock level is 50, and you have 24 available, a reorder point of 25 would suggest you order 50 more to bring you up to or over 50 (preferred stock level)

Gotcha - I think this is part of the Advanced Inventory management module that we no longer have. Which is why I cant see that field anymore

Those fields aren't there without advanced inv mgmt so that suite answer does not make much sense to me.

oh ok, didn't know that.  It sounds like from how NS words the feature adv inv mgmt only gives you access to the auto calculation features

I also don't get the idea that leadtime/reorder point and preferred stock level are advance inventory mgmt, they are like the most basic form of inventory mgmt

Ok i see now, preferred stock level calculation is part of avd. inv mgmt, reorder multiple is used BY the preferred stock level calculation

Thanks guys - I'll just make a custom field and use a calculation to determine this myself
