Does anyone use inventory counts in Netsuite - seems very odd to me that it doesn't tell you what should be on hand until after you have completed the count??
Does anyone have any workarounds for this, besides re creating your own inventory count system using saved searches?

The on hand quantity isn't shown for internal control purposes. Sometimes, some people who count the inventory don't actually count the inventory and rely only on the on hand quantity, if shown.
Maybe you can print out the Physical Inventory report as reference although I don't recommend showing the on hand to the people who will count the inventory or will enter the quantity counted.

Yes I understand that point, but if you can't trust your staff to do the count, I'm not sure I would want to continue employing them...

the main need for a SOH is if you are way out on your count it serves as a double check - makes them look a bit harder for that extra stock etc

Can you Customize and add the On Hand qty? Which report are you starting with?

No, there are no options to customise - it is called Inventory Count

@Terry certainly feels like we get so close. I created a Transaction Line Field, sourced the value from Item/On Hand. Edit the Transaction Form 'Standard Inventory Count'. Added the new Line Field to the Sublist tab. Then doesn't appear on the count. How sad. Looks like a case of having a Inventory report on standby

@Terry On the Create Inventory Count page, there is a Customize button just above the Select and Item columns. After you click that, the other columns (and filters) appear including the On Hand. As far as I know, this is user-specific/user- and role-specific customization.
