For those that have multiple subsidiaries - do you duplicate your customers that are in both subsidiaries or do you just add the subsidiary in the subsidiary column?
r
depends on the features you are looking to use. That is called MultiSubsidiary customers. If you want to use the SuiteSolution Consolidated Invoicing you cannot turn this on. If you want to use Consolidated Customer Payments - then you MUST turn it on.

We are choosing to use consolidated customer payments. We get many customer payments that need to be applied across many child-level customer records. Think NetSuite is working on a solution to be able to have both

as of now we want to keep 1 customer record and add the additional subsidiary when a customer requires it. Our credit card processing company though just threw a wrench in this idea and told us that if we had a client that wanted to use their card to pay invoices for both subsidiaries we need to duplicate the customer and assign the primary subsidiary accordingly. Not something we wanted to do.

Lots of cc processors are that way. It really sucks.

i was afraid of that.
