Hi All, For allocation, is there any internal way to tell the system to allocated based on a custom field in an SO? So we have a CRD (Customer requested date) that we want to allocate materials to but by default the system allocates based on date created. So we may have an SO in the system that doesn’t need to be built until July but we put in the system now vs another SO that we ‘rush’ that is put in and needs to be built sooner. Has anyone dealt with changing the logic inside netsuite or is this some type of MFG module that we need to get to do that?

The best way to do this is either using Supply Allocation OR Create some customization that would manipulate the commit column on the SO. Where the SO would start out set to “Do not commit” but then when it got closer to your date it would change to “Available Qty” OR if your willing to do it manually set all lines to do not commit but then use the Commit Orders screen to commit lines in bulk
