Does anyone use NetSuite as their primary CRM? Looking for best practices in managing lead records that are very old, cold and probably won't be marketed to in the future. Should we do a mass deletion of these old lead records? Or do we leave them in NS and just set it to a Cold lead status? I can go either way, but I hear that it's not a good practice to delete records entirely. Thoughts?

I wouldn't delete it unless the company has gone insolvent and even then only if I didn't need the historical lead metrics. Why won't you market to them in the future? Are they now disqualified? If so, I would use that status and probably also track a disqualification reason and would have this as part of your qualification process.

Thank you for the feedback. Most of the old leads I speak of; those individuals are no longer with the organization they were originally with. We market to baseball, golf and softball coaches at different levels, high school, college, etc. So many of them move around to different schools so their emails become non-existent.

Right, so you use leads as "Individuals"? Who ends up being the Customer though? The organisation?
