Hello NS Professionals, we are trying to limit some Payroll information from being seen through global search. We have roles in place to limit visibility of this information, however, when typing an employee in global search, it seem the information is visible. Is there a way to limit / hide this information in the global search? Or do we need to get SuitePeople and use the Advanced Employee Permissions? Thanks for any replies! 🙂

why not limit the roles from seeing employee records?

@Ogabeg we need certain roles to see only portions of employee records, not the entire employee record (see basic employee info but not payroll info). Can this be done without SuitePeople or Advanced Employee Permissions?

if the payroll info is housed under a CUSTOM subtab or CUSTOM fields then you can restrict certain people from seeing those custom fields otherwise yeah you would need more advanced features/modules in order to block them from those PARTICULAR data sets on the employee record
