Is there anyway to recover an overwritten list in netsuite?

No there is no way to recover anything deleted in NetSuite without doing a full system backup which is $$$/PITA

My first recommendation would be to go into any sandbox(es) you might have and see if you can recover it from there. The other alternative is to look at the system notes/line level history and pull it from there, but that might not be possible and/or could be very manual depending on what exactly you're referring to as a "list".

if it is a custom list then history will have all the info
