Hi all, I created a Sales Order, Shipped an Item Fulfillment, and Completed a Cash Sale. However, in the Item Fulfillment record, I do not see a GL impact. I've followed this documentation:
l
Possible reasons: 1. Item used is not inventory type AND does not have the Generate Accruals checked in the item record. 2. Item used is inventory BUT there is no prior cost associated with transactions that increase inventory or no such transactions at all.

@Luis getting this error:
message has been deleted
This is the item cost detail:
I see a purchase price
Do we need to populate an average cost/
Ohh I think I see what you're saying

That warning shows up because you copied a transaction with an item associated with an inactive account. Is this a test transaction only? Anw, that is not the cause of the 0 GL impact though. As you can see the TOTAL VALUE is 0 although the TOTAL QUANTITY ON HAND is 89. Since the inventory has 0 value, there will be no inventory value to pull out as well for item fulfillment. Is this just a test transaction? How come the inventory value is 0? Through inventory adjustment?

Yea this is just a test transaction
I did it through an inventory adjustment. Do I need to do it through another method to get the value to populate?
Also, I belive it's not the item that is inactive but the account that is rather inactive. How can I point the item fulfillment record to an active account?
l
In your inventory adjustment, you can edit that to assign the appropriate inventory value instead of 0. Afterwards, your item fulfilment should have GL impact. Or you can just create a new set of test transactions and make sure that the item you use has inventory value.

Ohh I see!
Awesome, thanks @Luis!
Any idea how I can get rid of the account mapping error?
l
That's right, sorry. It's the inactive account not the item. Just edit the item record, under the Accounting subtab, select an active account you wish to use. (New account will be applied retrospectively as far as I know so this is not really advisable in an actual transaction.)

Got it, thanks for the tip! Really appreciate it!
