Is there a better workaround for this? We have thousands of unique items. We are using the UPC/ISRC code as Item Name since our customers only provide the UPC/ISRC in the invoices (yes, the 'invoices' in excel format are coming from our customers). Also, this will be easier when importing invoices bc we do not have to change the Item name (total items in an invoice may be thousands). However, when entering items in an invoice in UI, we want to be able to search for the Display Name since UPC/ISRC alone is inconvenient. So we enabled the Show Display Name with Item Codes general preference but it now requires us to include the Display Name during CSV import. Also, it is very inconvenient to import new item records (happens almost every day) just to enter an External ID (which is just the same with the Item Name or UPC/ISRC for easy import of invoices).
