If I were to setup bar coding and item labeling, do I still need some support from NS or NS partner to connect the actual scanner to the NS account (if that's how it works)? Or non-IT people like me can do it by ourselves? Is there a guide on that, can't find one in the NLP?

that’s sort of a loaded question because it depends on your bigger purpose of barcoding and labeling

a barcode scanner just scans and inputs the data from the barcode into whatever field you want it to be.

Once the bar coding is setup, the barcode scanner just takes the barcode and translates it into text.. its basically a fancy keyboard that you just point and scan. So like leo said, we'd need a little more info on that you're doing.

Oh sorry, well basically we want to maximize its use but our priority is being able to scan bar codes to add them in NS transactions like sales or receive them in purchase transactions or bulk receive, fulfill, pick, pack, ship, bill or approve orders.

I'm having a hard visualizing what it is really capable of due to lack of resources.

I just found a YT video demonstrating the use of the scanner in NS. It looks fancy but not really that useful?

It works by scanning the bat code in the NetSuite printed forms but I'm not sure though if it will be able to automatically create the Item Receipt transaction etc. by just scanning.

its a little tough to watch but if you want to handle inventory with receiving and pick/packing/shipping, you probably want RFSmart. I can get you to talk to someone there and see if that helps?
