Hello, why is it that when we enter time entry against a project, its Estimated Work field increases? It adds up the hours entered. Only the Actual Work and Remaining Work should be the ones changing, right? Anyone encounter the same issue? thank you
p
If memory serves this happens if the resource is not assigned to the project/task. The logic here is that if I assign Jim to the project for 20 hours, and then Steve (not assigned) logs 4 against it, then Jim still has 20 hours of work to do so estimated work is now 24
to be clear, this is not GOOD logic imo, it’s just what was designed in NS. If you leave the project open so that anyone can book time, your estimated time will be garbage. Unless they’ve fixed this in the last 3 years, in which case ignore me.

Thanks, Paul. This is what I suspected. But I tried replicating in Sandbox but estimated work did not increase when I entered time against the project for employee that's not assigned as a resource. I will investigate further.
