Hey all, trying to build a custom list field with parent and child, specifically categories and subcategories. What's the best practice? Example : Field - Shapes : • Triangle ◦ Right Triangle ◦ Equilateral • Quadrilateral ◦ Square ◦ Rectangle ◦ Trapeze Etc... Thoughts?

If you need a hierarchy, you can create a custom record that has that enabled. Then you select “Triangle” as the parent for “Right Triangle”. In a custom List/Record field it will show up as “Triangle : Right Triangle”. Similar to how other hierarchical records behave, ie department, class etc..
