Anyone know of any tricks or formulas for a Saved Search results to include a custom inline HTML field? I’ve tried a few formulas to no avail.

Do you have the setting “Disable HTML in Search Formula (Text)” checked in your account, under General Preferences?
a
I’ll take a look
It is not checked

Okay, just wanted to be sure, since that can block this. However I have also seen that some kinds of HMTL just don’t work in saved searches anymore, as I think NetSuite is doing something to prevent it. It used to be possible, until a major update a few years ago.

netsuite did away with html in search results a while back, but i think that was limited to writing css/html in the formula text

I added a field at the entity level to display the default shipping and billing addresses. I just want to display those on the saved search.
m
is it a stored value?
silly question; you said inline html
sorry

🙂

i'd lean toward "not possible" to source the value of that particular field in the search
is this a transaction search or a customer search?
a
Bummer. Maybe I need to go back to the beginning then and change the field to not be an inline HTLM field.
Customer search

you could potentially summarize results or insert criteria to output only the default address lines without using the custom field
iirc, criteria won't let you restrict to the defaults, but summarized criteria or summary results possible without summarized criteria should
a
I’ll give that a whirl and let you know. Thank you

heads up in case you haven't used summary criteria before: summary criteria is only evaluated & reflected in the search results if one or more result lines have a summary type.
@amcminn9009 found a reference in my account; pretty sure i overcomplicated this for you
at the most basic level, you should be able to use the following (regular) criteria in the criteria tab:
DEFAULT SHIPPING ADDRESS is true DEFAULT BILLING ADDRESS is true
in results: return the address fields [Address 1, Address 2, etc.] (not from an address join)
may need to use expressions in your criteria tab though

I tried that first, but what ended up happening is it somehow filtered out customer records that had both fields set to true, but not all. It randomly didn’t include some and I couldn’t identify why.
I found one that didn’t show up in the results and confirmed that it had a default shipping and billing address set.
m
got any other restrictive criteria?
or record joins?
a
Just Customer status (Close, lost, won)
1,148 customers with Default Billing and Shipping not in criteria, 591 when it’s added.
Some don’t have a default set which makes sense, but some do for both and they don’t appear in the report.
Going to dig further to see if there is any other culprit.
One thing I do see is that most of the ones not showing are ones that have a parent company set. The parent company has a default set though for both.
Fixed it. Added expressions with simply added OR between Default Billing and Default Shipping address criteria
🙂
Thank you for your help!

awesome, thanks for confirming the solution! glad it's working
