does anyone know if there are any additional costs to installing auto bank statement import (ABSI)? From what I can tell there isn't, other than just having it implemented/set up

@Kyle Nelson How has your experience been with ABSI? We were trying to utilize Bank Feeds but our bank is not an available option

To tell you the truth, we're still in the process of setting it up. It's been a bit of a long process working with the consultants who are setting it up, the bank providing the BAI2 files, and our own IT team setting up the sftp server. Hopefully we'll have it working soon, as we've got the file working with manual upload, just need the sFTP portion. I'm sure this could be done much faster but it hasn't been a super high priority for us since Bank Feeds is still working for the most part.

Thank you for that information. You said "since Banks is still working..." is Bank Feeds being replaced? Why use ABSI over Bank Feeds (or vice-versa)?

The biggest reason we wanted to transition is because Bank Feeds has a limit of only supporting 20 bank accounts, whereas ABSI supports up to 500 if I remember correctly. We had just crossed that 20 bank threshold and wanted to find something that scaled as we continued to grow. ABSI is also supposed to be more reliable as sometimes the Bank Feeds connection to the bank would break and need to be re-connected. Not a huge deal, but something that our accounting team didn't want to have to worry about. Bank Feeds is definitely much more simple to set up, which is the primary reason why you would use that over ABSI if you weren't concerned the number of bank accounts it supported.

@Kyle Nelson Greatly appreciate your feedback. It is looking like we have no choice but to use ABSI, but sounds like that is not a bad thing. We were very surprised our bank was not an option with Bank Feeds; while their mainstream division of the bank is available, the banks commercial side is not currently an option.
