03/26/2020, 7:21 PMI didn't think so. Our NetSuite advanced customer support suggested a script to help pulling accounts in based on a custom field but I couldn't figure out how that would be possible.

03/26/2020, 7:23 PMWe use a custom field on the account record that we then use in saved search to pull all accounts with a certain value in that custom field. We want to be able to do that in a financial report setting instead of having to pick the accounts based on their number/name in the layout.

03/26/2020, 7:24 PMYou could always filter your financial statement by that field in the account - or add it as a column, but using it as core component of the account selection process isn't likely to work..

03/26/2020, 7:26 PMSo maybe a better question to take a step back is how do you manage your financial report layouts? When you add a new account, do you just know to go to all the financial reports and make sure to include that account manually?

03/26/2020, 7:29 PMIt depends on what the client is wanting to do with financials - if they are crazy/super customized I normally recommend a 3rd party option. If they are simple - then I leave the standard sections in the financials at the bottom- so then when a new account is added, it can be added to the appropriate section if it shows up down there.

03/26/2020, 7:46 PMI think pretty far off. We have a ton of specific, custom layouts we use for each country we operate in, but I don't know how many are actually in use and aren't just very similar to others ones and no one knew what they were doing.

03/26/2020, 7:52 PMBoooo not an answer any one in my company will like haha. I'll see if adding a filter would help at least with some of the issues. Maybe it won't solve 100% of their concerns, but even if I could solve like 30% of them, I think that'd make them happy
