03/25/2020, 9:08 PMI've got a custom external id field on the Account record, that is set to default to the formula {externalid}. today I had an account get created and the field is blank, and it also will not save the value if I try to edit the account and save it. Its not working in Production or Sandbox

03/25/2020, 9:11 PMYou have a field that displays the current external ID, and that's all it does. I'd suggest changing that field type to inline text or disabled to prevent confusion

03/25/2020, 9:29 PMthe field has been working for quite some time, it was created by the previous admin at my company. I don't know if it's some glitch with the outage today.
