@Zack Do you know if there is even a way to store a value at the item/location level?(so that I can source it in a saved search) There are "Location fields"(safety stock/lead time/Qty On Hand) on the base item record that just has a value for each location. I am struggling to create another field that acts like that.

No you cannot touch or add anything that sublist.
To emulate the behavior, you would prob need to make your own subrecord for each location, somehow link them to that location, and hope to make it work by joining up or down in the saved search that you create to display the data from it.

@michoel That is really cool and was exactly what I was looking for... somehow though NS did not create a link in the item type saved search to those custom fields. (Any Idea how I could source one of those custom fields into an Item SS?)
