i have a user complaining that 'suddenly' they are able to save a drop shipment item fulfillment for a serialized item _without_ entering serial numbers - has anybody else noticed a change here?

i'm testing and i'm honestly not sure that this was ever mandatory for drop ships (and it would make sense that it isn't)

I can't imagine that could ever have been mandatory for dropship...  Would be very strange.

that's what i was thinking too - but they are adamant that it used to be required! i actually ran a saved search though and found lots of past examples where an item is serialized, yet the line on a DS PO IF has no serial numbers, so that pretty much proves it. thanks for confirming <@UQWKHM46S>!

NP.  It's not that I know that feature so well....but from a business POV, the whole point of drop ship is that you don't have to have all the inventory and its data in house.

yeah and if you have your own in-house serial numbers, you actually would NOT want to put them on a DS IF, i would think
