How does everyone manage returns bin locations where you want to maintain stock, but make sure it's not available?

if you want to make the returned item unavailable, you can use Inventory Status. With this feature you can mark an inventory available/unavailable

Gotcha. I've heard some bad things about utilizing inventory status from the guys over at RF-Smart. I guess its stored under a sperate record thats related to item record and it increases item lookup time from the rf-scanners significantly.

Another way around is have a the bin under a "Returns Location" then set that location to Make Inventory Available = F
