@SmithJ you could just link them yourselves. Create a workflow field that gets the id of the sales order, create a field on the Project that is the associated Sales Order and then set the field value with the create record action. But really don't you just need to create field on the project that is a list record of transactions the Store Result in will do the same thing I just said above
