This may seem like a crazy question, but... how on earth do you use the global search to search for inbound shipments? Entering the shipment number in the global search textbox never yields a result.

Inbound shipments are not able to be searched using the global search, limitation of Netsuite
a
amazing that they didn't resolve it in the new release. I always create a search for my clients and some have it on their dashboard. Best I could do...

That is what we ended up doing here, created a saved search and added to a custom CenterTab that we created just for common searches.

You could also maybe add a custom field and make it searchable and then use a script to populate it with the INBSHIP number. (BTW - this is one of many issues with the Inbound Shipments feature.)

@Stewart doesn't work, i've tried. Other record fields are not globally searchable. 👎
some of inbound shipments is nice, but the idea that i can't edit the landed cost information after receipt if it was done through inbound shipments is really annoying. I have a solution for a client with a custom IS module...works pretty much the same as inbound shipments, but more flexibility.

It was the inability to handle 'overs' or be able to csv import using internal ID's that led us to stop using it.
