AF also publishes that weird salary thing that IMO is totally wrong
d
wrong in what way(s)? given the amount of correspondents they deal with, I just assumed was likely the most accurate publicly available NetSuite salary info out there
c
seems to low for a lot of it
i didn't look at the last one honestly
pretty sure last time it was discussed in here everyone else thought it was pretty low too comparatively to themselves and people they know
d
hmm I was going to say the opposite 😅 or seems like it was at least very reasonable range to me the latest released one is a bit less useful in some respects since just gave entire US average, versus other years did break out by some cities
r
I was not aware they had release the 22/23 version, thanks for the heads up. Is true the previous one did a breakdown for some cities in the US. The higher salaries are still in the US... which leads me to the next question 😆 How common is that an US company would hire someone who is a non US citizen and is based on another region? Given that the person would work US timezone
c
I haven't worked anywhere that had non-US employees myself. I've been at about 3 different NetSuite places so far. I would say email somewhere you have interest in working and find out. I know even for consultancies, if you are remote they have to do some setup if they have no employees in your state.

Its really hard to find decent netsuite technical people

One of Deloitte digital's partner who was a buddy of reached out to me few years back to lead their west coast NetSuite practice's managed services but pay was too low compared to my then comp. He ended up giving me a couple of his clients to handle as a free lancer, I am still helping one of those clients on by free time. Also note that I have declined offers from Oracle for the principal ACS delivery Manager/consultant because of the pay few times. Seems like the big fours and Oracle itself are the culprit to keep the wage too low. Also many companies still think that NS is a tier 2 ERP and doesn't warrant the same pay level as SAP or Oracle Biz/Fusion SME's.

I work for a multi national that attempt to hire NetSuite people. They don't really know NetSuite they know processes for managing software etc. Most of the IT support for my firm is India Romania and MX. All low cost high education regions.

NetSuite "professional services" was charging like $275/hr for someone to write code. That's 572k/yr for a dedicated resource. If people are willing to pay that, they're willing to pay you decently to work full time as a netsuite dev. That's one way i've looked at it. You can pay me way less than that and still come out ahead.
c
NS EMEA has charged 99 USD per hour for implementations. Sure its massive hours but thats the discount on thousands of hours
s
ACS charges $189/hr
r
Indeed, ACS is quite expensive in EMEA as well, specially when you check that the resources they have are most of the time people with 2-3 years NetSuite experience max
c
I'm just reading every technical netsuite dev should be making at least 200k year

I deal with the EMEA ACS team quite a bit. Maybe they assign us the good ones because I've been pleasantly surprised with knowledge and service.
