Ok, I have a doooozy for you all. In November I reset my 2FA as I got a new phone. No big deal so I thought. Reset it through the webpage, logged back in with the OTP from email and proceeded to try and set it up using my regular browser Firefox.
We use Okta at work so proceeded to use Okta verify for my OTP. It works as I have used that before. Scanned the QR code which gave me an OTP and when I went to confirm it... it borked and said "Incorrect or Expired Verification code."
So I tried this in Chrome and Edge (yes I felt dirty using Edge), same issue. Tried it with Microsoft Authenticator and Google Authenticator..same issue. Issue raised and it was classed as a defect.
NetSuite support got back to me today stating their devs had done some work and asked for a show and tell via zoom on what was happening. I had done this earlier in the day also when the emails started to come in that they wanted to chat about the issue. Thought that might have been proactive....
Anyway, zoom meetings happening and in Firefox we tried it and same error message...and then I get from support....
"Can we try this in IE?"
Really?? And guess what...it worked. I am not sure about you but I don't use Internet Exploder for many reasons.
So..TL:DR - If you are resetting your OTP for NetSuite and you get an error message "Incorrect or Expired Verification code" when validating the code, try doing it in Internet Explorer. 🤪
