I am stuck in a situation. When i login as an administrator i can see a PLUS sign which allow to add package definition. BUT when i login using a custom role then i don't get this option to add package definition.. Asked SPS but they said that its the role permission issue .. while permission are set to full for package definition .. Can anyone help regarding this issue !!

Could it be the reason that the center assigned to the custom role doesn't have an option to add this specific custom record ? Everything else looks good.. I have noticed that this custom role has center assigned as Shipping Center

ok one nothing i noticed .. I can search and go to add package definition in the administrator but can not find add package definition page in custom role

being able to access the list of custom records (https://system.na0.netsuite.com/app/common/custom/custrecords.nl) is controlled by the Setup > Custom Record Types permission
to my knowledge it it not required to create custom records

is there any setting in the custom record that controls the visibility of the plus button .. Package defination is accessible through the link .. but the only issue is the + button which is visible in admin but not in custom role

Yup i can create a custom record for the option using the link .. Doesn't look like a permission issue .. I wouldn't be able to create the record if that was the case.
Its a third party solution may be there is an inherent issue ...

What if you check the box "allow quick add"
