How can you have the default value of a mandatory list/record type field be blank?
Having problems with users not setting the value and just accepting the default.

So on the form the field is on it is mandatory?

And there is no default value selected in the custom field creation?

it is set to mandator on the custom field, with a default selection set.

If a default is set then they would be able to save withiout fillling it in. there must be a blank value in tehre somewhere.

ah, I didnt realize the default value could be unset. I think i got it now. thanks
