Sorry if I wasn’t clear with my last request. I’m looking to learn who uses independent contractors vs consultant groups vs partners and why.
We’re about to make a decision of which avenue we want to go down.

Independent Contractors all the way. With the partners, you'll get lots of fancy sell, smoke and mirrors and ultimately you won't have a lot of insight on who's actually doing the work (and if they're competent)

That's coming from someone who's just come off a project and had to spend half the time fixing a partners muck ups

On the flip side of that argument (Full disclosure: as someone who works as a partner) - you can generally get more resources for complex issues.

If I weren't at a partner, I wouldn't have access to the developers that I have when I need a customization.

That said - no matter which path you go down- do your homework.

@KevinJ of Kansas Agree with KevinJ. Partner means more resources available for complex issues. Go with the individual or consultant group if it is one time task. Evaluate your requirements what suits you the most
