Hi I am new to Netsuite, i would appreciate if someone can help me. I have a field called Billing Schedule needed at the sales order. It is a checkbox. Is it possible to add a workflow whenever the billing schedule needed field is checked the Junior Accountant cannot approve the sales order? I would appreciate it if anyone can help me in this.

Sorry. Meant to start a thread. @Renee Milianzo How are you approving sales orders? Workflow?
r
Hi Aria, we are approving through the sales order button. Thanks

@Renee Milianzo Okay, I am assuming your company is using the Worflow Template: Slaes Order Basic Approval. If that is the case, go to Customization > Workflows > Workflows. Search for Slaes Order Basic Approval. Only 2 states lead to Approval: Initiation and Pending Approval. You can add your condition to either of these states or their transitions.

@Aria Ghahari how do u add a role to it?
a
User role: None of: Junior Accountant

Thank u so much. I will try it out and let u know. I appreciate all your help

@Renee Milianzo No problem. Do the same for someone else if you have the answer.

@Aria Ghahari I can see the following
@Aria Ghahari do i delete rejected and canceled?
a
@Renee Milianzo Please do not delete anything. You need to review the documentation on SuitFlows to understand how it works. https://docs.oracle.com/cloud/latest/netsuitecs_gs/NSSFU/NSSFU.pdf When you click on either the state (rectangles) or the transitions (lines with arrows) the right menu changes. When on edit mode, click the pencil and you get options for actions. Read the documentation to see how to add the restriction you need. On pending approval state, approval button should not appear if the checkbox is checked and user role is junior accountant. Similar for the transition for initation to approved. These are suggestions based on the info you provided. Best thing to do is to consult someone within company who is familiar with workflows (perhaps your NS partner) and to read the documentation. Good-luck

@Aria Ghahari Thanks Aria i will check it out now
@Aria Ghahari This pdf is so helpful it is very clear. I just have one last question please, can you guide me where to put the role? I dont see a way in it to restrict the role. Thanks
a
@Renee Milianzo Either in the state or transition, there us a condition box at the top. click on the button that appears over it and choose: user role and in the next column choose none of and in the third column choose the user role
