Every other ERP i've worked with that had similar behavior has the same challenge with imports - it's not unique to NetSuite. Now, some 3rd party tools allowed me to build my own "nodes" for one of the ERPs but it was pretty in depth and wasn't just a bang bang CSV import and involved a lot of web services knowledge to do it.
