I think you have to make a change to the sourced field if "store value" is checked, then it will be populated/stored.

I think you'd have to edit that fields value, so that the value changes. It's been a while since review sourcing...let me try something on my end to see if it works.

If I click store value, it no longer shows a the value. Even if it is appropriately configured to source.

What's the ultimate use of this field going to be?

Without storing the value, I am unable to perform inner record calculations. I'm ultimately needing to store the value to perform calculations from other fields within the record.

Was this new field added to existing records?

Yes!

I believe that you'll have to manually update this custom field on existing records. It should work on new records, may want to test that out.
