I am looking for a clean way to have our Service Department charge the Sales Department for work performed. As an example the Sales Department sells a Generator. The Generator requires our service department to go to site and perform work to start up the generator and make sure it is running correctly. Currently the Sales Department either adds a seperate line, which is an Assembly Item, or they include the projected value into the generator item line on the Sales Order. I'm thinking I would like to actually have a new Sales Order created so the Service Department can list all of their own line items and bill this back to Sales. We pay our Sales people commission on the order so I need to be able to record the costs on the Original Sales Order for the Generator.
