Is it possible to display the requisition(s) that a purchase order was created from?
I find it really weird that a Requisition has Purchase Orders under Related Records, but POs don't have Requisitions under Related Records
a
Linked order column links back to the requisition
b
one sec
Linked Order isn't available under Sublist Fields
it's on Requisitions that link to the PO
a
You lost me
b
If I go to the form on the Purchase Order and do Customize Form... Under Sublist Fields, there is no Linked Order field
a
The line shows the requisition number that the item on the PO came from
b
wanna bet?
a
hmm, not sure why that would be for your environment it is available in my demo account
b
is it available in your drop ship form?
I see it in the standard form
but we use drop ship
Typical Netsuite crap right here

a
You are right, how odd it is not available on that form
b
like I said, typical Netsuite crap
for example, every "Item" type has a customFieldList exposed in suitetalk
EXCEPT RequisitionItem
you have no access to custom columns in the RequisitionItem, but you can get them in POs and Receipts, etc...
I submitted it as a bug request... they changed it to an "Enhancement Request" -- I'm sorry, what? You forgot to expose somethign extremely vital to people who do customizations, and you're calling it an ENHANCEMENT? You're telling me it's broken ON PURPOSE?
a
Maybe they make the case a drop ship item shouldn't be on a requisition? Since it isn't being sent to a different address, you should create a non-drop ship version of the item for requisitions
Flimsy reasoning but I am not sure what other purpose it would be
b
they forgot it
100%
a
haha - trying to be an optimist but yeah
b
idk if you do much with SuiteTalk, but I've lost all optimism at this point
