Does anyone know how to edit a manually created client invoice in order to add the Department for each Item line in the GL Impact?

Open invoice in edit mode, add your departments at the line level, save.

Thanks for your response, but I don't see an option to add a Department at the Item level when I try to edit the invoice. i was hoping i could do an edit at the GL impact to add the Department - but Edit doesn't allow that - it seems

your departments must be mark to be available at the line level. Setup > Accounting Preferences > Classifications > Allow per line departments and check this box. If this box is checked you need to modify the form you are using to make this box available to you at the line level
