Has anyone ever actually had their account failover to a different data center during an outage of this scale?

In 7 years.... literally NEVER. A single point of failure on your DC and you can be down. No failover. Their cloud infrastructure is mostly just marketing BS. They speak of redundancy and high availability and elaborate cutting edge hosting. But it seems to just be the cheapest co-location hosting they can contract. But at least it's expensive.

Our sandbox has been up the entire time. It's on a different data center though.

yes my mistake.. it is in a different datacenter.. Not the Boston Location.. never thought to even check since production is using SSO but the sandbox is not.
