02/13/2023, 8:40 PMI've written so much netsuite code over 10 years that I kinda feel like a ChatGPT. I just go find where I did it before and just use it again for client work. The real work is going to be product development with stuff that hasn't been done. I'd say 90% of client work is just shuffling code from place to place.

There's not a huge amount of variation in the requests.
I'm working on a big project to connect Magento to NS via AWS right now and that's throwing up "challenges" but still, using the same sort of patterns for solutions as any other project.

02/14/2023, 9:53 PM@Shawn Talbert do you switch around different industries alot? For finance heavy things especially around Sales Orders / Invoices, you get nearly the same requests from every customer. You may have to slightly tweak it, but you're not re-writing hardly anything.

I want a PDF that shows X
I want a popup that prevents them from X
I want an approval process that does X
I want an email sent when X
I want transaction lines to be validated when X
I want these X fields to be populated when Y
I'm heavy into manufacturing now and even that has a ton of repeats like "I want a custom production traveler". I will say that manufacturing has a lot more "I want to tear this apart and make it work exactly like I want no matter what its supposed to do natively".
