Our "Allow Transactions Date Outside of Posting Period" setting in preferences is set to "Warn." When a user enters a vendor bill date August 19 and the posting period is September (August is closed), they get the warning message and hit "Ok." Then NetSuite auto changes the posting period to August 2019 (even though it's closed). Is that normal NS behavior? My understanding was that if you have this setting to warn, it should allow the users to have the mismatch date and accounting period. If this is normal behavior, how can we allow the users to do this without having an admin fix the accounting period?
