Why can't you use "Employee" {employee} in i saved transaction search? I get error field not found if I use a formula and the field is not in the list of available fields in the result set.
n
What are you expecting to see on a transaction that relates to an employee??? Are you trying to see who created it? If so look at createdby.
j
There is a standard field on transactions where you can enter an employee. We are developing a workflow using that field
n
What happens if you try and use "employee"?
j
"ERROR field not found"
but I can see it if I run &xml=t on the transaction URL
n
it's a record field on the transaction but it's it's not a valid search column. https://debugger.eu1.netsuite.com/help/helpcenter/en_US/srbrowser/Browser2022_2/script/record/transaction.html
Look under that section
So I guess in answer to your original question, you'd have to ask NetSuite why they don't expose that field as a valid search column. 😞
j
Yes, okey! Thank you!
n
netsuite right?
I'll be honest I had never noticed that field before and do wonder what it's purpose is...
j
I think it's used for the "standard" PO approval flow from Netsuite
