Hey all, besides Celigo, what is everyone out there using for integration Amazon FBA to Netsuite?
m
We're using NetSuite Connector (Previously known as FarApp)
a
@Mark C How has the experience been? It brings orders in and fulfillments out? Does it handle payment settlement?
r
Celigo handles it better than FarApp

Haven't tried Celigo, but we've been happy with NS Connector. We don't use it for settlement - years ago, the settlement was... flaky so we built our own system to handle that portion. Haven't gone back and tried theirs since ours is working fine for us.

@Mark C so how does your solution work with the NS Connector? Do transfer orders get fulfilled and then automatically received when Amazon received? Does an invoice get created for each individual sale? I also have a custom settlement solution, but I'm looking for something that could possibly handle all sides...orders, inventory, and settlement
m
It's very automated. We are seller-fulfilled prime, so for that side, orders come into NS, get authenticated, and shipping confirmation is sent back. Inventory updates process and post regularly from our warehouses. SFP comes in as sales orders. For our FBA items, we get an invoice automatically created to show the transaction which imports automatically from NS Connector. The connector push runs 3 times an hour for us and is not quite accurate enough to set your watch to, but pretty close. If we need to hold an item, we turn off a flag on the item record to stop transmitting - takes about 40 to 70 mins to get confirmation, so we'll often zero it out in Seller Central at the same time. One thing that was a bit tricky was logic to show which shipping template to use as inventory goes up and down at our warehouses. If you have one location, it's not an issue, but with multiples, we created scripts to show which warehouses had inventory and push which template should be used for Prime availability. Having calculations for Amazon Standard-Size and Oversize items in a custom field on the item record helped with that as well since AMZ has different rules for each. The NS Connector dashboard is a relic from FarApp, and it's usable, but not great. I know NS is working on that, but don't have any timelines or details to share. Fingers are optimistically crossed. If I knew more about the current state of settlement, I'd share, but we've been using our own for... 3+ years? I'd ask your rep to show you a demo of that component. One of the reasons we stopped was that it could take about 12+hours for our transactions (hundreds of thousands of lines in our case) and if there was a fail at 11 hours...well, the whole thing went boom. So I'd recommend that you ask some probing questions about error handling and reporting around that. Hope that helps! Oh, one thing that was really nice is that we were able to add Walmart Marketplace and eBay VERY quickly since we'd already had Amazon set up. Just some mapping changes and a handful of custom fields on the item record.

Interesting, sounds nice...thanks for all of the details!
