We just had an accountant accidentally delete all of the reconciled account statements for a bank account for the 2021 & 2022 fiscal years. We did not know the role had that permission. How do we recover the statements? Is there a way? Does Oracle backup our NetSuite instances?

oof I don't believe those are recoverable. Do you have a recent-ish Sandbox that you can maybe pull the info out of? I don't think you can directly recreate the statements, but at least you'd have a record of what was cleared, etc. Oracle does have backups, but it's really only for catastrophic stuff and I think the minimum they charge is like 15-20k. Way cheaper/easier to just have someone re-do the recons.

I just confirmed and found them up to 07/22 in our Sandbox instance. How would we export / download these from the SB? I can import them into Production, just need the solution for getting them out of SB. Or would we need to copy the data between the accounts somehow?

If you're talking about the bank data that can be imported, I'm not sure that's exportable.

When you delete the recon, all the bank transactions + NS transactions revert to being able to be matched/cleared and reconciled. There isn't a process (to my knowledge) of importing this, someone will need to go through and redo the recons for the months that were deleted. Did someone really go through and delete every period account recon? You can only delete one period at a time
