Hi team, What are the pitfalls of entering an Inventory Adjustment rather than an assembly unbuild? We have something that hit the GL in December but now we need to unbuild it and return it back to inventory.

It depends on your use case but, in general, an unbuild seems easier. An inventory adjustment would require you to adjust each component in the build as well as the finished good. The only pitfall is that the unbuild will make it as though it never happened as opposed to an adjustment which could occur in another period. If it's a case of the FG getting ruined then an inv. adj. against only the FG would be appropriate.
