In a transaction saved search, we're trying to add a column for the Bin Location. Simply adding the field results in a line item for every bin where that item is stocked, regardless of location. I'm trying to come up with a formula that will only display the bin location of the item at the "from location". This is on a search for transfer order details.

Add a result column Inventory Detail Fields : Bin Number.

@Edward McGuire That field returns empty for me. 😞
@KevinJ of Kansas do you know if NS has a records browser for SuiteAnalytics? I thought the "Connect Browser" tab was supposed to reflect that dataset, but SuiteAnalytics definitely does not have all of the fields available through the UI that are shown there. https://www.netsuite.com/help/helpcenter/en_US/srbrowser/Browser2016_2/odbc/record/item.html

I'm not well versed in suiteanalytics yet, so unfortunately I can't point you in the right direction there
e
@jackie.marler ouch. Its crazy that it should work here and not there.
j
@Edward McGuire are you starting from a transaction search?
e
@jackie.marler It's a Transaction saved search with one criterion: Formula (text) starts with, formula is {inventorydetail.inventorynumber}
j
@Edward McGuire we're using the advanced bins - is that what you have? I tried the field both through the UI and as a formula - both come back empty.

Just tried a new transaction search with the one criteria matching yours and it returned zero results. I'm not sure why our instance isn't using that field, unless it's due to using advanced bins.

@jackie.marler We are definitely using Advanced Bin/Numbered Inventory Management.
