Can you bulk email transactions i.e. sales order, item fulfilments or invoices to the contact on that transaction? Or would that require a workflow?

If you are ok with emailing results as a saved search output, you could setup a saved search and email the output (I think you can do CSV/ Excel/ PDF) at a certain frequency. This won't be the transaction PDF output, but will have most of the details on it.
