is there no way to source "Created By" field in a general ledger custom report? I saw a SA that shows how to duplicate the GL report into a saved search and add the field to it :thinking_face:

Maybe have a disabled custom field that grabs created by and  pulls it into that field via workflow when they are not equal?

Fields that do not store value can't be brought into reports

What does storing value mean? Doesn't the Created By field have a value such as an employee name?

Yes, but it's not available to reports. And you can't just create a field that doesn't store value to display it. You would need to populate the value in the databse

Not storing value is a trick I often use when needing to display a value from another location and I don't have access to it.
