I entered a new currency today (7/2) and when I go to look at the exchange rates list, it's showing the effective date is as of 1/1/1970. I have no clue why or where to change that. We use Xignite for direct integration, which will run at 6am EST tomorrow morning. Will that fix it? Or is this a date I need to set somehwere?

@Becca A Yes, as of tomorrow NS will set the exchange rate, and every day after that. However, NS will NOT ever go and set exchange rates for dates passed. Keep this in mind if ever you need to back-date a transaction prior to tomorrow

@Olivier Gagnon (DXC) thanks for the reply! That's exactly what I needed to know. For some reason I can't find that in any documentation and that was exactly the question one of my users had. Is there any way around that?

You would need to (manually) obtain all the rates and NS offers a CSV import option. If you just care about a few rare tansactions, I'd recommend researching the historical rate in effect at that time and hand-keying it on the transaction itseld
