Hi all, I just took on a client (I'm a bookkeeper) who originally had QBO and they made the switch over to NS 7/1/22. I was not there for the switch over I just onboarded with them this year. I was helping them clean up their QBO for 2022 and suggested we finished the year on QBO and see if they're able to get out of the NS contract. Does anyone have any experience on cancelling their NS contract? If they're not able to cancel their contract I need to figure out what is the best way to go about this. I figured starting fresh 1/1/23 in NS would be easy, but they've been entering transactions for the last half of 2022 on NS. I am not 100% what would be best practice here in order to either cancel or start out the new year on NS, but what would I do with the last half of 2022 that's in NS? I cleaned up all of their 2022 in QBO.

If you want to DM me I can give you advice as I'm doing a similar exercise for a current client of mine
PS, unlikely they can get out of their NS contract

question is why they didn't migrate the transactions from QBO with a cut over date - that is best practice. Migrate all the historical transactions and trial balance, then set a date for final cut off. Prior to cutover enter transactions in both system - NS accelerate and QB decelerate. That is proper implementation strategy for migration.
