Hello everyone,
Is there a way to hide the email address of a user when then send an email message through NetSuite using an email template?
s
in what context? Please elaborate
s
A customer service rep created an RMA transaction and it was emailed to a customer. The RMA email is a custom email template. In the email sent to the customer it had the customer service rep's full name and email address, which the customer then used to threaten our rep after he showed her social media profile back to her in a response. Very creepy so we are trying to hide that info to the user

use a workflow to send out the email instead, in workflow you can use a no descriptive email address as the sender (can be an alias or service account). Also you can use the same content as the template in email body with all the dynamic fields. Any way this customer of yours is a psycho 🤣🤣

Another option is change the name and email address under user preferences

Thanks but we use the email address as the ID for single sign-on with SAML through Google
You can change the from email address independent of the login email address

@michoel is correct in user preference you can define send from/ reply to email. It doesn't affect the user's email address in the employee record which is used for access including SAML protocol. Note only the user can modify user preference not the admin
