Is there a way to enable a subsidiary field on Custom Record types, or do you have to create your own custom field of type List/Record -> Subsidiary?

I think you can only do that for custom segments. I think for custom records you need to just make a custom field for it. You probably know already but you can Apply Role restrictions to your custom field so your custom record will be restricted by the subsidiary based on the user role.
