How do others deal with moving a customer part number from one Item to another Item in Netsuite when there are transactions associated to the first part number? For example we have Item Number 5002 and our Customer P/N associated with this is 1234. Now our customer wants a new customized item so we created 7002. The customer now wants their Customer P/N 1234 attached to the new Item Number 7002 that we created for them. Their are several transactions associated to the original Item Number 5002. Any ideas on how to make this work? My idea is to rename the Customer P/N associated to Item Number 5002 to something like 1234-012023 (adding the date we expired the part number from the old Item number to the end) and then going to the new Item Number 7002 and adding Customer P/N 1234. Any other ideas?
